Overview:
The staff will be responsible for providing operational and administrative support to the Children’s Urgent Care Clinic (C-UCC) under National University Centre for Women & Children (NUWoC). This would involve supporting and developing effective clinical operations (e.g., processes, management of service staff etc) to provide a good care experience for patients, while maintaining financial sustainability.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure effective operations at at C-UCC through close collaboration with Clinicians, Nurses and Allied Health colleagues. The operational duties include (non-exhaustive):
- Facilities management.
- Centre procurement.
- Communications and publicity.
- Management of agreements (e.g., tenancy, services etc).
- Quality assurance (e.g., audits, licensing etc).
- Tracking of key indicators and submission of reports (e.g., to NUH management and Ministry of Health).
- Mass casualty incident and management (MCI).
- Drive patient experience at U-UCC.
- E.g., improve patient experience scores by improving processes such as optimising patient wait time and improvement of care environment.
- Review of care model and key outcomes.
- E.g., future expansion and/or relocation plans.
- Review of care model to ensure financial sustainability.
- Team management for a team of 4-6 frontline service staff.
- E.g., onboarding, training and development.
- Ensure good quality service standards to patients and clients.
- Lead continuous improvement and knowledge management (e.g., proper documentation and standard operating procedures) for C-UCC.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Provide ad-hoc support to publicity events organised by department and partners.
- Cross coverage of Clinical Operations Duties (e.g., Acute Care/Children’s Emergency).
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business and healthcare related disciplines.
- At least 3-5 years of working experience, preferably in healthcare clinical operations and management.
- Prior experience in leading a team would be an advantage.
- Ability to plan strategically and maintain a keen eye for detailed implementation.
- Excellent interpersonal, communications and change management skills (e.g., for stakeholder and staff engagement).
- Strong analytical skills, good time management and result orientated.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Excellent IT skills in areas such as Microsoft Office applications, databases (Tableau).
