The National University Cancer Institute, Singapore (NCIS) is a national specialist centre under the National University Health System (NUHS). It is the only public cancer centre in Singapore treating both paediatric and adult cancers in one facility.

The Data Manager is responsible for assisting principal clinical investigators with stem cell transplantation and cellular therapy data collection for patients enrolled into research studies, database maintenance of research studies, data provision for conference presentations and maintain study status updates by submission of documents and/or data to DSRB and registries.


ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Responsibilities and Duties (80%)

  • Collect the clinical data of the patients enrolled in research studies at NUH and submit data to Centre for the International Blood/ Marrow Transplant Registry (CIBMTR) within the required time-frame.
  • Maintain database for stem cell transplantation (SCT) research studies and assist with the maintenance of site files.
  • Maintain study status updates by submission of documents to DSRB.
  • Be main coordinator for APBMT and BMDP report and forms submission for adult transplant patients.
  • Collect the data required for Quality Improvement/ Management meetings/reports.

 

Secondary Responsibilities and Duties (20%)

  • Prepare for and participate in CIBMTR and FACT inspections.
  • Assist in internal and external audits of all facilities of the Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation & Cell Therapy Program.
  • Secretariat role for weekly BMT meeting and support role for FACT meetings.
  • Support Value Driven Outcome (VDO) projects.
  • Other ad-hoc/BMT research duties assigned by RO/PI.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor degree in Biomedical Sciences/ Biological Sciences or its equivalent.
  • Preferably has 3-5 years’ experience in data management, SCT and/ or cellular therapy and/or Haematology and/or Oncology related jobs.
  • Word processing skills i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.
  • Statistics skills.
  • Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Willingness to learn complex medical science
  • Self-motivated
