At NUHS Academic Information Office – Management Decision Support Office, we support the organisation in drawing meaningful insights and develop automated data products to serve business intelligence needs. You are to assist in the development of strategic cluster-wide analyses and institution specific analytical projects. You will have the opportunity to develop a suite of skills in data extraction, data visualization and stakeholder management.

 

 

Job Responsibilities

 

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Identify and prioritize data and information needs to develop effective analytics products that improve cluster-wide and institution specific healthcare milestones

  • Translate clinical and operational needs into data-driven solutions

  • Performing complex queries, manipulating large datasets, and analyzing data to uncover patterns, trends, and relationships.

  • Take ownership of the development of end-to-end analytics solutions from data extraction, preparation, visualization to evaluation

  • Collaborate and establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, programme and cross-functional teams and the management

  • Communicate data-driven insights and recommendations clearly to executives and stakeholders through presentations, reports, and dashboards

  • Develop effective analytics products to improve cluster-wide and institution specific healthcare milestones

  • Perform data quality audits, data preparation and transformation, feature engineering

  • Document processes, data lineage, and work to ensure transparency and enable knowledge transfer

  • Work closely with data scientists, application developers, product managers, and other teams to implement analytics solutions

 

Requirements

 

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Health Informatics or related technical fields

  • Minimum 3 years of job experience in stakeholder management with business intelligence or data analytics environment

  • Proficient in the use of data analysis programming languages (e.g. SQL, Python)

  • Proficient in the use of Data Visualization & Management Tools (e.g. Tableau, Matplotlib, Excel (advanced)) in building reports and dashboards

  • Good knowledge of SQL disciplines and writing simple to complex SQL queries for data retrieval and analysis

  • Experience in building data warehouse or data pipelines for data analysis is a plus

  • Understanding of Machine Learning algorithms (eg. Classification, Regression and Clustering) and machine learning libraries (e.g. scikit-learn) is a plus

  • Ability to write clean and efficient code

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
