About Department and Purpose of the Position

The National University Cancer Institute, Singapore (NCIS) is a national specialist centre under the National University Health System (NUHS). It is the only public cancer centre in Singapore treating both paediatric and adult cancers in one facility.

 

We are seeking an outgoing and passionate Quality Improvement & Innovation Executive to support NCIS in improving workflow and processes. The incumbent will be responsible for the discovery, research and delivery of creative ways to improve existing processes, contributing to quantifiable savings in time, finances, and addressing pain points within NCIS.

 

Key Responsibilities

You will be involved in small to large scale initiatives to deliver the best care to our patients in NCIS.

  • Lead and drive quality improvement initiatives within the cancer treatment and patient care domain at NCIS
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to identify pain points and develop strategic solutions for improvement
  • Engage stakeholders, including medical professionals, administrators, and support staff, to understand their challenges and implement effective problem-solving strategies
  • Implement and leverage innovative approaches to enhance cancer treatment methodologies and patient care experiences
  • Facilitate workshops using design thinking methodologies to drive process improvement journeys, fostering creative problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to bring fresh and innovative perspectives to the organization
  • Develop and maintain effective communication channels to ensure a seamless flow of information and collaboration across teams
  • Provide guidance on quality improvement methodologies and best practices to foster a culture of continuous improvement within NCIS

 

Key Requirements

You should be a high-potential executive who is passionate, committed and keen to establish a career in the Public Healthcare with the following attributes:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field
  • People-centric
  • Proficient in human-centred methodologies such as Design Thinking and Behavioral Insights
  • Experienced in facilitating workshops and conducting trainings
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and a positive “can do” attitude
  • Qualities of matured thinking, dependable and requires minimum supervision
  • Ability to follow through, work independently as well as in a team
