Lead Data Analyst/ Principal Data Analyst

We are looking for a strong leader with a background in hospital operations and data analysis to be part of the Quality, Innovation and Improvement team, Information Network (IN) section. IN is a platform for the development of strategic and tactical plans to develop effective and efficient access and use of information by staff in JurongHealth Campus (JHC), for better decision-making to improve care and safety.   

 

Responsibilities  

Strategy Development and Team Management (40%)  

  • Develop organisation data access, reporting and analytics strategies and plans  
  • Coordinate Data Management, Reporting and Analytics Resources within organisation  
  • Stay up-to-date on latest data tools and techniques. Evaluate and deploy appropriately  
  • Foster a data-driven culture by evangelising the value of analytics across the organisation  
  • Lead a team of data analysts by providing direction, coaching, feedback and career development  
  • Oversee the collection, transformation, validation and analysis of data based on specific projects  

  Information Network Secretariat (30%)  

  • Oversee the smooth running of the IN annual plans, meetings and action items.  

  Data Management, Analysis and Visualisation (30%)  

  • Facilitate data gathering requirements from users to address information needs from IT systems.  
  • Assign and guide data analysts in the extraction of data from IT and Electronic Medical Record Systems such as Epic.  
  • Assign and guide data analysts in the creation of automated reports and dashboards for data tracking  
  • Perform advance data analysis; and create run charts / statistical process control charts   
  • Support project teams in advanced analytics projects where applicable. And any other assignments as tasked by Reporting Officer and Head of Department  

 

  Requirements  

  • Good Postgraduate / Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Math, Health Economics, Public Health or equivalent   
  • Strong technical background and expertise in the areas of statistical analysis, data management and data visualisation   
  • Proficient in analytics and visualisation tools such as Python, Tableau and/or R  
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills  
  • Good problem-solving skills  
  • Good written and oral communication skills  
  • Ability to work with teams.  
  • At least 5 years working experience in relevant field. Healthcare experience would be a bonus.
