Manager, Planning and Strategy

 

The incumbent will support the Lead (Planning & Strategy) and work closely with various internal and external to stakeholders to lead, plan and ensure alignment of hospital strategic plans at all levels.

 

Job Description

 

Strategic alignment of key milestones and stakeholders

  • Develop, maintain and update key milestones and timeline of activities towards TGCH opening, as well as work with relevant stakeholders to develop action plans to ensure objectives are met in a timely manner. This includes the following but not limited to infrastructure, manpower, licensing and equipment procurement.
  • Support TGCH senior leadership and develop backup plans to address potential risks or events which could/have led to delays in meeting objectives.
  • Assess current issues and forecast future trends in healthcare delivery, patient demographics and manpower challenges.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure leadership direction and vision, strategic objectives are aligned with operational needs and execution.

 

Analytics-Driven Performance management & improvement

  • Direct the development of reporting of TGCH hospital performance metrics as required.
  • Use of analytics to review, report and improve key metrics on an ongoing basis.
  • Initiate key improvements needed in various metrics.
  • Implement robust management and contingency planning measures as needed.

 

Supporting role in building TGCH team readiness for manpower planning & monitoring, administrative spaces

  • Support the Planning and Strategy Lead in the planning of administrative spaces for future TGCH.
  • Assist in developing the consolidated nesting plan of TGCH staff ahead of opening, and ensuring the targets are met.

 

Supporting role in partnerships, engagement and collaboration

  • Support the Planning and Strategy Lead to engage with key external stakeholders such as vendors, external agencies (not including community partners), and internal to TGCH to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Extend and maintain outreach with key existing and potential partners with TGCH, in coordination with Transitional Care and Community Partnerships team as required.
  • Develop plans in coordination with internal TGCH stakeholders as needed, for innovative strategies and services to ensure continuity and betterment of patient care.

 

Qualification and other requirement

  • Bachelor degree in Science, Business or Engineering preferred.
  • At least seven years’ working experience in service/healthcare industry.
  • At least three years’ working experience in supervisory experience/management level.
  • Possess analytical, quantitative and excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Good organisational and coordination skills.
  • Ability to adapt under challenging circumstances, and problem solve in a timely manner.
  • Strong team player, and able to collaborate well inter & intra department / institution.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, exercise initiative, and work independently under pressure.
  • Experience in applications of data analytics will be an advantage.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and nurture the team to meet organisational goals.
