Manager – Kubernetes (DevOps Team)

 

Overview

 

Join the NUHS Group Chief Technology Office (GCTO) that advocates flexible and innovative working culture. Successful candidate will be part of a team of Data Scientists, Software Developers and practitioners who partner clinicians to propose, develop, and deploy advanced Artificial Intelligence / machine learning models and pipelines to augment clinical workflows for NUHS Cluster in hybrid cloud environment. The candidate will also ensure the adequacy and effectiveness of the models, applications and tools for NUHS.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Deployment of application into production environment
  • Enforcing quality assurance process of software product in the areas of security and overall performance health before deployment into production
  • Administration of Kubernetes namespaces
  • Responding to production incidents to quickly to restore service
  • Problem solver with ability to see things in multiple angle, constantly looking for better solutions to problems and quick to gain new skills

 

Requirements

 

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical, electronic, computer engineering or related science and engineering fields with strong IT background
  • 4 years of collective working experience with software application development cum system management in production environment
  • Experience in working with deployment in production environment
  • Proficient with Ubuntu, Linux and/or Windows
  • Proficient with Kubernetes, Docker and Kafka
  • Familiar with CI/CD and tools like Jenkins, Azure Pipeline, AWS CodePipeline, etc.
  • Familiar with scripting and tools to perform automation on deployment
  • Strong understanding of best practices for secure coding and securing container configurations.
  • Knowledge and experience in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure , and GCP is a plus
  • Good problem solving skills, motivated to look for better solutions, and open to acquire new skills
  • Able to work independently and in a team
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technically and non-technically with ability to translate between the two
  • Familiarity with healthcare IT is a plus
