Resident Physician (Staff Health Clinic & Wellness Centre), NUH

 

Job Description:

 

As a Resident Physician, you will be part of the care team led by Senior Consultants/Consultants. You will be provided with training and competency will be ensured before you are asked to do any task independently. You shall demonstrate good diagnostic and clinical management acumen and perform any other duties as directed by Head of Department or the Chairman Medical Board of the Hospital. You shall support and deliver patient-centred care in line with the department's goal of providing customized and evidence based health screenings tailored to the individuals need so as to help them keep their health in check. Duties includes but is not limited to –

  • Health Screenings / Pre-Employment Medical Examinations
    • Advise and perform customized screening tailored to the needs of the individual
    • Empower patients with knowledge of their well-being and refer to appropriate sources for further follow up if necessary
    • Ascertain fitness for employment
  • Industrial and Occupational Wellness
    • Perform and report findings of statutory screenings and examinations in a timely manner
  • Staff Health
    • Managing staff with illnesses, injuries and exposures
  • Chronic Disease Management
    • Managing staff with early stages of chronic diseases before referring to specialist clinics

 

Job Requirements: 

 

  • Basic medical degree from an accredited medical university or medical school.
  • Postgraduate qualifications will be desirable, such as MMED (family medicine), graduate diploma of family medicine or equivalent.
  • Must be registered or registrable with the Singapore Medical Council. Please refer to https://www.healthprofessionals.gov.sg/smc/becoming-a-registered-doctor/register-ofmedical-practitioners for more information about registration with the Singapore Medical Council.
  • Possess 5 years of post housemanship clinical experience.
  • Prior relevant experience in area of family medicine is desirable, but not required.
  • Prior relevant experience in Singapore Healthcare is desirable, but not required.
  • Ensure commitment to the conduct of medical ethics and manage any conflict of interest.
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention precautions, including Personal Protective Equipment and hospital ART / RRT requirement.
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (1st dose, 2nd dose, and booster jab).
