Research Assistant (CAMH) - 2 Years Contract
The ChAMPION Program is a collaboration between NUHS and NUP and it aims to enhance integration between
community and hospitals for health and social issues in mothers and young children. Polyclinics are in close
proximity to residential estates, allowing for increased opportunistic checks. This program will adopt a one stop
service where child developmental screening visits are bundled with opportunistic guidance for parents
/caregivers on common but high-priority child health issues such as immunizations, growth and development,
nutrition, screen and sleep time, etc. At the same time, support for mothers will be given i.e. postnatal
depression screening, lactation support service, postnatal follow up of mothers with gestational diabetes and
cervical cancer screening.
The Research Assistant will work closely with the principal investigator by facilitating study matters to ensure
proper conduct and implementation of research activities on the ChAMPION programme. The principal role will
be to work in general practices such as project management, recruitment, data collection, data entry and
analysis. He/She will support the logistics and operations of the research study ensuring smooth coordination
and completion of projects within stipulated timelines and budget. He/She may be required to liaise with
personnel from partnering institutions in the course of his/her work. In addition, he/she will work closely with
the Project Manager to achieve common key performance indicators that are also with the domain of the
related research studies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Health Sciences or equivalent.
- At least 2-4 years of clinical research experience.
- Experience in ethics review applications and/or contributing to grant application.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills, good time management and result orientated.
- Effective problem solving skills.
- Excellent IT skills in areas such as word processing, spreadsheets, power point, databases (Tableau).
