Senior Assistant Manager, ​​​​​​​Analytics, Automation and Compliance

The role is responsible for the improvement and value add to NUHS’ operations by bring a systematic and disciplined “2nd Line of Defence” approach to the effectiveness of risk management, assurance, and internal control processes.

Apart from control and compliance reviews, the role will also drive data analytics and process automation projects to bring about operation efficiencies and control compliance. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate risk and control self-assessments and related initiatives.
  • Perform internal control and compliance reviews.
  • Leverage data analytics to analyse large volumes of data for outliers, anomalies, and patterns as part of the compliance and efficiency reviews.
  • Build and develop data analytics and visualisation tools and dashboards to support process owner needs for continuous monitoring and analysis.
  • Work closely with process owners to understand operations and control issues, identify opportunities for efficiencies and co-create automation solutions.
  • Present value-adding and practical recommendations to process owners.
  • Participate in other related projects when required.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Accounting or Business Management.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in audit or compliance role.
  • Advanced Excel skills and VBA, and proficiency in data visualisation with Tableau/ Power BI.
  • Strong knowledge of internal controls and risk management.
  • Portray inquisitive, meticulous, good logical, analytical and process flow skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with diverse groups and stakeholders of different levels.
  • Strong project management, reporting writing and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of Python and/ or SQL is advantageous.
