Senior Assistant Manager, Communications
Nestled in the lush evergreen town of Tengah, the new Tengah General and Community Hospital (TGCH) will be a new chapter in healthcare to provide a comprehensive range of clinical specialties and healthcare services including emergency, inpatient, rehabilitative and outpatient specialist care. The incumbent will join the Communications team to oversee internal and external communication efforts for the designing and building and eventual opening and operations of the new hospital. This includes implementing strategies; creating and managing content and collateral for various platforms; media relations, events and community outreach etc., to shape the organisation; foster positive relations with stakeholders; and ensure consistent and compelling communications across various channels.
The incumbent will contribute to the full spectrum of communications projects, events and activities managed by the Communication team, and partner various stakeholders to execute communication plans and campaigns.
Job Responsibilities
Brand Management
•Protect and enhance the organisation’s brand and reputation through proactive and reactive communication efforts.
•Partner various stakeholders to ensure consistency of the corporate identity and aligned messaging, as well as adherence to relevant healthcare regulations and industry standards.
External Communications
•Develop and oversee the implementation of external communication plans and campaigns and/or events management.
•Develop compelling content for various external communication platforms and utilise channels such as websites, email marketing, to reach and engage external audiences.
•Coordinate with vendors to produce communication collaterals.
•Analyse the effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives (using data-driven insights where possible) to optimise future strategies.
•Identity and evaluate new communication technologies and methodologies.
Events Management
•Plan and manage external events to promote the organisation’s initiatives and achievements.
•Oversee the implementation of department, institution, or cluster events/ community outreach as appropriate, including programme and logistics; invitation list, collaterals production etc.
Internal Communications
•Develop and oversee the implementation of internal communication plans and campaigns and/or events management.
•Develop leadership memos, newsletters, staff collaterals, etc. for various internal communication platforms and utilise channels such as intranet, digital screens, email marketing, to align internal audiences to strategic thrusts and instil staff pride.
•Analyse the effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives (using data-driven insights where possible) to optimise future strategies.
•Support internal stakeholders for staff engagement and culture building projects.
Administrative
•Be involved in organisation/ committee projects as required.
•Undertake secretariat and administrative duties as required.
•Mentor and support junior officers in the team as required.
Qualification Required and Area of Discipline
• Degree preferably in Communications, Marketing, or a similar discipline.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience of relevant working experience.
Required Competencies and Capabilities (Skills, Experiences and Professional Licences)
• Strong writing skills including copywriting, speech writing, business writing etc.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Adobe PDF.
• Experience in supporting communications projects and events with multiple stakeholders.
• Good understanding of various communications functions including brand management, campaigns and publicity, events, external and internal stakeholder engagements, etc.
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure and tight timelines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and team player who can build positive relations with different stakeholders.
