Senior Assistant Manager, HR CoE Performance & Rewards

 

Overview and Purpose of the Position

As a key team member of the Group HR Centre of Excellence (CoE), Performance and Rewards (P&R) team, the Senior Assistant Manager plays an instrumental role in driving the planning, policy development and review, system administration and implementation of performance management initiatives across NUHS.  This role involves strategic advisory, stakeholder engagement, data analysis, and operational excellence in executing performance management policy reviews and initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Performance Management Policies
    1. Involve in the formulation, review and implementation of performance management policies to maintain relevance and compliance with organisational values and industry best practices.
    2. Collaborate closely with Shared Services, institution workgroup members and project teams to ensure policy alignment in processes and procedures.
    3. Provide advisory support on performance management policies and processed to key stakeholders including HR Business Partners, institution performance management representatives.

 

  1. Annual Performance Management Exercises
    1. Drive annual performance management exercises from initial planning through stakeholders’ engagement, system administration, and employee communications.
    2. Manage the performance management process for senior management.
    3. Develop performance management materials and guidebooks to support institutions in achieving their performance management objectives and maintaining consistency across the organization.
    4. Conduct performance moderation sessions and provide secretariat support at both functional and group levels.

 

  1. Analytics and Reporting
    1. Responsible for generating and analysing performance data to support moderation sessions at both functional and group levels.
    2. Create comprehensive reports and presentation materials to facilitate decision-making during performance moderation exercises.

 

  1. Performance Management Module on SAP SuccessFactors
    1. Collaborate closely with HR Technology team and external system implementation vendor to ensure policy alignment in HR system configuration and workflows.
    2. Address institution feedback and requirements whilst ensuring system changes align with performance management processes.
    3. Drive continuous performance management module system enhancement initiatives and projects.
    4. Oversees the configuration, testing and deployment of the performance management module.

 

  1. Others
    1. Partner Learning and Development team to strengthen competency of both appraisers and appraisees ensuring effective performance management processes
    2. Conduct and validate job evaluations using Korn Ferry Hay Job Evaluation methodology for promotion cases to facilitate career progression decisions.

 

Qualifications and Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • A relevant professional certification is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical abilities with intermediate Excel proficiency for interpreting big data sets
  • Strong stakeholder engagement in large complex organisation
  • Excellent planning, project management and organisational skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in SAP SuccessFactors Performance Management Module and Job Evaluation methodologies, particularly Korn Ferry Hay would be advantageous
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant HR experience in Performance Management.
