This position offers you the opportunity to make a direct impact on improving healthcare facilities and services for the community. You will support the delivery of critical healthcare infrastructure projects and assist in the planning, execution, and completion of polyclinic construction and renovation works. You will contribute to ensuring project success and operational readiness, with particular emphasis on Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems and project handover processes.
You are expected to:
- Support large-scale infrastructure projects, assisting in developing Schedule of Accommodation (SOA) and infrastructure design, including M&E systems, to maximize efficiency and service standards.
- Assist in executing projects according to plans, ensuring timely delivery within budget and quality standards while implementing innovative and sustainable practices.
- Assist in managing project budgets, including cost control, financial reporting, and contributing to financial planning processes
- Support procurement processes, including tender preparation and bid evaluation for various services and renovations, with attention to M&E requirements.
- Assist in managing contracts throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring all parties meet their contractual obligations.
- Support risk management strategies, participate in assessments, and help ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Assist in establishing quality control measures, conduct pre-inspections, and oversee Testing and Commissioning (T&C) processes, particularly for M&E systems.
- Facilitate smooth handover of new buildings and renovations, ensuring all systems meet required standards before operational use.
- Support stakeholder relationship management including ministries, clinicians, consultants and contractors, contribute to effective communication, and assist in preparing comprehensive project status reports.
- Work collaboratively within the project team, supporting staff across all disciplines and contributing to a high-performance environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the reporting officer, supporting overall departmental objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or related field.
- 3-5 years' experience in project management, ideally in healthcare or relevant settings.
- Familiarity with healthcare facility requirements and Singapore regulations will have an added advantage.
- Strong background in mechanical services, building systems, and project tail-end processes (T&C, M&E handover).
- Proficiency in project management software and relevant technical tools.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage diverse stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and drive innovative solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
