The Finance community which supports the various NUHS institutions consists of professionals with backgrounds in healthcare, corporate, data analytics, project and risk management, accounting and assurance.


As part of NUHS member institutions, the upcoming new hospital project will provide quality healthcare services and fostering community well-being, and contribute to the overall health and well-being of the residents in the Western region.  

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

As part of the pioneer team for the new hospital and a member of the dynamic multi-disciplinary Cluster/Site Finance team, you could be involved in the following:

 

New Hospital Project

  • Financial planning, Budgeting and funding request for the set-up of the Hospital
  • Analytics and scenario modelling for insights and trends to drive key decision
  • Communication liaison among the various stakeholders, key management, and external stakeholders to facilitate necessary discussions to allow for the successful set-up of the Hospital.
  • Formulate finance-related Policies and Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance.
  • Participate in the IT systems implementation and user acceptance testing (“UAT”) partnering relevant internal and external stakeholders
  • Besides on-the-job training, successful candidates will be sent for the relevant courses.

 

NUHS Cluster

  • Develop detailed financial models to analyze Group manpower needs and associated costs.
  • Collaborate with HR to incorporate relevant data and insights into the financial models.
  • Ensure accuracy and reliability of financial models
  • Monitoring actual performance against forecasted Group manpower and financial metrics, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with MOH on Capitation Funding

 

Requirements

 

  • Possess a good Degree in Business, Accountancy, Economics or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience.
  • Thrive in ambiguous situation and able to establish systematic process and structure in a dynamic environment.
  • Self-driven and highly motivated
  • Meticulous with good analytical skills to translate financial simulations into viable recommendations.
  • Exhibits high degree of initiative and independence
  • Able to work well with multi stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Hands-on and help drive/support major projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, such as Excel (advanced), Macros, Power Point, Word.
  • Proven capabilities with SAP knowledge is an added advantage.
