Associate Consultant / Consultant / Senior Consultant Division of Vascular Surgery

Job Description:

The Division of Vascular Surgery operates within the Department of Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery. We are seeking highly motivated candidates to join us as Associate Consultant/ Consultant/ Senior Consultant in the field of Vascular Surgery. He/she will be responsible for patient care, providing leadership to all levels of staff - including teaching, training and research at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, one of Asia’s best medical education - and providing elective cover for vascular disease management while taking part in a dedicated vascular on-call roster shared by a group of consultants. He/she will also have the option of doing some sessions in other hospitals within the National University Health System cluster.

Responsibilities:

·       Diagnosing, treating and providing comprehensive care to patients with vascular conditions. 

·       Perform duties such as daily ward work, managing clinic/ medical consultation, on-call in accordance with operational requirements of hospital. 

·       Undertake responsibilities in areas of Clinical, Education, Research and Administration. These include mentoring junior doctors, participating in scholarly activities, and attending to non-clinical administrative duties.

·       Active involvement in educational teaching at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.

·       Involved in various research carried out by the Division of Vascular Surgery.

Job Requirements:

·       Vascular surgeons with exit qualifications which are eligible for Conditional Registration with Singapore Medical Council and Specialist Accreditation Board Singapore.

·       Active in clinical practice in the field of Vascular Surgery.

·       Demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills.
