National University Hospital is embarking on a strategy to build a more holistic Quality Improvement and Innovative culture and this successful candidate will be part of this enriching journey.

You will be involved in facilitating small to large scale improvement projects as well as creating human-centred journeys to deliver the best care to our patients with the least wastes.  

 

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

  • Facilitator - Facilitate sprints/workshops to drive projects related to improving quality and processes and human-centred experiences
  • Partner - Support Head of Departments and Like-Minded practitioners in the hospital to drive improvement initiatives and work closely with them to implement the strategies on the ground.
  • Trainer - Deliver training on lean management and human-centred tools to impart knowledge and skills to hospital staff. You are also a change agent to instill continuous improvement and human-centric culture in the hospital

 

Job Specification and Requirements

 

Desirable Technical Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business / Engineering / Industrial Design / Healthcare
  • Proficient in quality improvement methodologies such as Lean and Value Stream Mapping, and/or
  • Proficient in human-centred methodologies such as Design Thinking and Behavioral Insights
  • Certified Six Sigma Green/Black Belt will be an added advantage
  • At least 2 years of experience in facilitating workshops and conducting trainings

 

Desirable Soft Skills

  • Able to engage stakeholders and work through people in the hospital such as doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, operations and administrative staff
  • Able to work independently and as a team
  • Ability to perform even under tight timelines
  • Confident in coaching and guiding fellow colleagues in Quality Improvement tools
  • Good writing and verbal communication skills
