The National University Hospital (NUH) is a tertiary hospital and major referral centre offering a comprehensive suite of specialist care for adults, women and children. 

 

The Finance Controllership team manages the accounting function and processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting of the hospital’s financials.  The team works closely primarily with operational teams and shared services to meet their objectives in activities such as statutory audits, month-end closings and cashflow management.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Provides technical guidance and leadership to team members.
  • Responsible for financial and statutory reporting to ensure timely monthly closing and compliance oversight on NUHS policies, international accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Business partnering with internal stakeholders, shared services on manpower cost, opex management, cash optimization, performance management and in alignment with NUHS corporate guidelines.
  • Ensure efficient accounts receivables, accounts payable, inventory and cash flow management process.
  • Participate and drive continuous improvement initiatives to harmonize and simplify Finance processes.
  • Support any ad-hoc projects, tasks, new processes and system implementation when required.

 

Job Requirements:

 

  • Degree in relevant Accountancy, Business or similar Finance
  • At least 8 years of relevant working experience with strong exposure for overall finance management.
  • Experience in overseeing a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in healthcare sector or SAP will be an advantage
  • Be a team player and partner multi-disciplinary colleagues
  • Organized and detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word
