 Overview:
Reporting to the Assistant Director/Senior Assistant Director of the Innovation Transfer Office, the incumbent will serve as a vital link between various organizational units, including the Innovation Transfer Office and Data Protection Office. They will closely collaborate with the Haematology – Oncology Research Group to drive clinical innovation projects and manage contract negotiations, ensuring compliance with legal and hospital standards. The primary focus will be on fostering innovation, facilitating technology transfer, and supporting commercialization activities.

Job Responsibilities:
1. Facilitate seamless communication among the Research Office, Data Protection Office, and different functions within Synapxe to promote collaboration and ensure effective information flow.
2. Engage in discussions between clinicians and industry partners to facilitate collaborations.
3. Collaborate with clinicians and industry partners to manage contractual deliverables for implementing practice-changing innovations.
4. Lead negotiations and execute agreements for strategic partnerships, including research collaborations and clinical trials, in consultation with legal offices.
5. Draft policies governing technology transfer and industry/business development activities, along with national-level frameworks and master agreements.
6. Assist researchers in interpreting and executing grant terms, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and addressing research compliance matters.
7. Manage the pipeline and facilitate the development of New Product Introductions/Innovation for test-bedding in NUHS, ensuring alignment with relevant IP creation.
8. Maintain effective communication within the project team to achieve project targets.
9. Stay updated on the innovation landscape and collaborative research opportunities, including grant funding.
10. Collaborate with the Haematology Oncology Research Group to ensure contract alignment with legal and hospital standards and verify compliance with regulatory requirements.
11. Balance commercial urgency with NUHS's reputation when leading teams.
12. Provide operational support to the Innovation Transfer Office by streamlining processes, improving efficiency, and contributing to on-time project delivery.

Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science or Biomedical Engineering required; postgraduate qualifications in IP law, Business, Entrepreneurship, or Clinical Trial Research advantageous.
- 10-12 years of relevant experience in Technology Transfer Activities, including research collaborations, IP management, licensing/commercialization, and project management.
- Experience working with tech transfer counterparts and pharmaceutical companies.
- Proficient in drafting Clinical Trial Agreements and working with multiple stakeholders for Research Collaboration Agreements.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a complex organizational environment and balance the expectations of multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in IT systems and MS Office applications.
- Knowledge of legal contractual requirements in research contexts and ability to manage complex matters and convey decisions to multiple stakeholders.
