About Department and Purpose of the Position
NCIS is establishing a new Stem Cell Therapy Hub (SCTH) as part of expansion of its Specialised Programmes (specifically Cellular Therapy and Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant) and to become a Reference Centre of Excellence. We are looking for a Logistics Team Lead who will manage the overall lab supplies and ensure smooth operations of SCTH to drive the various programs and projects to success.
The candidate will be responsible for management of material inventory system, procurement of materials and managing logistics services associated with SCTH operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist and lead the procurement of lab supplies, management of logistics operation and performing daily warehouse activities such as incoming receiving, material storage and issuing.
- Ensure smooth flow of materials, inventory accuracy and completion of all inventory system transactions.
- Transportation planning and scheduling of collection / delivery of cold chain materials / samples between sites
- Work closely with end users on inventory control and carry out effective inventory management practices e.g., FIFO / FEFO.
- Organize and conduct periodic stock cycle counts and annual stock take.
- Participate in joint annual assessment of suppliers and performance evaluation of logistics service providers.
- Ensuring compliance to regulatory requirements / standard operational procedures. Observe safety rules and practice effective environmental health management techniques.
- Maintain high standard of security and housekeeping of the storage facilities.
- Establish standard operating procedures and work instructions. Conduct process / procedural training for logistics personnel / end-user per training requirements.
- Setting up and maintaining operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for warehouse and logistics operations.
- Review quality compliance and operational risks, highlight any potential issue(s) to immediate supervisor or Quality Assurance when appropriate. Support implementation of improvement projects and CAPA corrective actions
- Support new facility startup and continuously seek improvement on operation processes to meet changing organization needs / expansion plans.
- Any other duties or responsibilities assigned by reporting officer / management.
Key Requirements
- Minimum a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management / equivalent with four years of relevant working experience.
- At least 2 years of leadership experience
- Relevant operation experience in pharmaceutical / biotechnology / GMP manufacturing / healthcare industry will be an advantage.
- Good Knowledge in warehouse inventory management and cold chain operation.
- Strong analytical and people management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and knowledge in ERP software e.g., SAP MM Module
