About Department and Purpose of the Position

The National University Cancer Institute, Singapore (NCIS) is a national specialist centre under the National University Health System (NUHS). It is the only public cancer centre in Singapore treating both paediatric and adult cancers in one facility.

 

The Radiation Oncology Executive/ Senior Executive is needed to support NCIS Ops & Admin in achieving the department’s vision and mission to help in implementing operational strategies.


The incumbent will be supporting day-to-day operations in Radiation Oncology Department, working in team and will also require working independently. He/She will be liaising with Radiation Oncology team, including but not limited to Nurses, Pharmacists, Radiation Therapists, Physicists and Clinicians as well as other stakeholders within the cluster and externally. He/She will support with development of services and processes to ensure safe and efficient care for patients. He/She will work closely with the Radiation Oncology team to drive workflows, operations readiness and set up.

 

Key Responsibilities

Operations

  • Support the development and implementation of Radiation Oncology Department workflow and ensuring smooth clinic operations
  • Collation and analysis of clinical and non-clinical data
  • Secretarial duties which include scheduling of meetings, room booking, collating of agenda, minutes writing
  • Support the preparation of activities required during IT systems downtime, upgrade and deployment
  • Review documents for clinical and non-clinical needs and timelines management to ensure timely follow-up and closure of key action items

 

Finance & Asset Resource Management

  • Procurement and verification of new and existing equipment and consumables
  • Processing of account payables
  • Service code creation

 

Patient Administration

  • Work with inter-department staff on patient bills, verification and reconciliation
  • Coordination with internal and external stakeholders for referral, appointments, financial counselling

 

Others

  • Where directed by the Reporting Officer, support other Radiation Oncology Operations related projects and tasks

 

The role’s job scope may be expanded to include additional responsibilities based on grade and experience.

 

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
  • Experience in similar capacity, preferably in operations background. Healthcare experience is an advantage
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills
  • Ability to multitask and meet competing datelines in a fast pace environment
  • Analytical and innovative thinker
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Manage relationships (internal and external), especially with clinicians, direct reports and patients
  • Ability to work independently and also in team
