Overview

 

This dynamic position within the healthcare industry supports Senior Management in strategic areas including Space Management and Infrastructure Planning, New Clinical Services Assessments, Agreement Management, and MOH liaison for both funded projects and review of high-cost technologies.

 

The role plays a crucial part in shaping the future of healthcare delivery at NUH, ensuring optimal resource utilization and alignment with national healthcare objectives.

 

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

 

Space Management and Planning:

 

  • Review and manage space requests ensuring optimal utilization of NUH facilities to support long-term growth and development objectives.
  • Develop comprehensive long-term infrastructure plans for the hospital and broader campus, aligning with strategic goals and future aspirations.
  • Establishing working arrangements and links with internal and external parties as necessary to plan, implement and track progress of infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct strategic analyses to guide decision-making processes related to space management and infrastructure development
  • Support HOD in upcoming renovation projects in TWB, aiming to transform existing office spaces into modern, collaborative, and sustainable concepts.

 

MOH Liaison:

 

  • Review submissions for purchases of high cost technology
  • Management of Capital Grant Projects which include but not limited to funding requests and regular project fund tracking exercises.

 

New Clinical Services Assessments:

 

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess new clinical services, ensuring they are appropriately planned, financially sound and adequately assessed for aspects including quality, safety and governance before implementation.

 

Agreement Management:

 

  • Work with internal stakeholders on existing workflow on agreement review, ensuring consistency with national, cluster & hospital healthcare strategies and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional policies and procedures in the agreement management process

  

Secondary Responsibilities and Duties

 

  • Support other ongoing strategic key initiatives as required.
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned by Reporting Officer.

 

Job Specification and Requirements

 

  • Good degree with minimum 3 years’ working experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to work under pressure and thrive amidst rapid change
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis
  • Experience in project coordination or management is advantageous
  • Healthcare experience and/or Architecture background may be an advantage but is not essential
