(Senior) Manager / Assistant Director, Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (O&G)
Overview:
The Head of Operations of the Dept of Obstetrics and Gynaecology will report to the Head of Operations of the National University Centre for Women and Children (NUWoC). You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Dept of O&G both in the Specialist Outpatient Clinic setting as well as in the inpatient setting, including the Delivery Suite. Additionally, you will be responsible for workplanning, capacity planning and budgeting.
Job Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the following:
- SOC. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the following SOCs (particularly with respect to patient experience, risk management, patient volumes, bills collection in clinic):
- Fetal Care Centre
- NUH Women's clinic (Sapphire Clinic)
- NUH Women's clinic (Ruby Clinic)
- NUH Women's clinic (Emerald Clinic)
- NUH Women's clinic (Jurong East Clinic)
- NUH Women's clinic (Jade Clinic)
- Centre fo Human Reproduction (CHR)
- Andrology Centre
- IVF Laboratory
- Pre-Implantation Genetic Diagnosis Centre
- Inpatient. You will be responsible to support the Clinical and Nursing leadership for the day-to-day running of the following wards:
- Ward 22 (Delivery Suite)
- Ward 48 (Subsidised O&G Ward)
- Ward 9A (Private O&G Ward)
- Ward 9B (Private O&G Ward)
Additionally you will coordinate the booking, prioritisation and re-allocation of the operating theatre resources availed to the department of O&G
- Masterplanning for O&G SOCs and wards for the NUH Redevelopment
- Workplanning and budgeting for NUH Dept of O&G including the following:
- Capex and Opex Budget
- Manpower Budget
- Workplan patient volumes
- Key programmes and new programmes
Job Requirements;
- Bachelor's Degree
- Proven track record in operations, with strong management abilities and a demonstrated track record of leadership
- Minimum 12 years' of relevant experience (including min. 6 years in managerial and supervisory role)
- In-depth understanding or outpatient and inpatient clinical operations
- Able to drive strategy and planning, problem solving, process design, and resource development, leveraging strongly on data and technology
- Strong project leadership capabilities and experience in working with senior professional counterparts in a multi-disciplinary setting
- Strong team leadership ability, particularly in engaging and developing team members, giving clear directions, giving support, giving recognition, and acting as role model
- Possess confidence to communicate effectively with senior leaders
