Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our Health Service Research & Analytics Department as an Assistant Director. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving research initiatives that inform and improve healthcare delivery and policy in Singapore Healthcare and Institutions. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in clinical research, team leadership, and grant acquisition within the healthcare and AI ecosystem.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage research teams to work with Clinicians to deliver high-impact health service outcome studies.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate clinical research projects aligned with national healthcare priorities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare institutions, academic partners, and government agencies.
  • Identify and pursue funding opportunities, including competitive grants within the healthcare and AI research landscape.
  • Mentor junior researchers and contribute to capacity building within the department.
  • Translate research findings into actionable insights for policy and practice.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Master in Statistics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Health Services Research, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in leading and managing multidisciplinary teams. At least 4 years in managerial role.
  • Has experiences in health service operations research or related field, with a strong understanding of the Singapore healthcare landscape (an advantage).
  • Proven track record in clinical research design, implementation (project management), and evaluation of various scale of projects.
  • Demonstrated success in securing research grants, particularly in healthcare and AI domains.
  • Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals (an advantage).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
