Assistant Manager, Data Governance 

 

The Data Governance and Protection Office is dedicated to defining and implementing NUHS’ Data Strategy and Governance policies. Our vision is to empower staff across NUHS to harness data effectively, generating actionable insights and maximizing the value of our data assets.


As a Data Governance Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing our Data Governance and Policy Activities, including our Data Loss Prevention (DLP) programs. You will promote data literacy and a data-driven culture throughout NUHS, acting as an agent of change through effective communication and collaboration.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain DLP dashboards and reports to support NUHS’ institutional data protection officers.
  • Document and communicate DLP processes to relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist in defining and organizing data governance operational processes and activities, ensuring alignment with policies and standards.
  • Assist with the relevant system implementation activities associated with data requests, analytics programs and Artificial Intelligence governance efforts in NUHS, in alignment with data protection principles.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in M365 Tools and the MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with data lifecycles and data management concepts.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
  • Skills in dashboard development (Tableau/Spotfire) and basic data analytics methodologies.
  • Understanding of the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and its application across sectors.
  • A proactive approach to staying informed about changes in data analytics, data protection regulations, and industry best practices.
