About Department and Purpose of the Position
The National University Cancer Institute, Singapore (NCIS) is a national specialist centre under the National University Health System (NUHS). It is the only public cancer centre in Singapore treating both paediatric and adult cancers in one facility.
The Assistant Manager, NCIS Redevelopment, will assist in the planning and implementation of NCIS Redevelopment projects and set up project management systems and tools.
The incumbent will work in close partnership with the Executive Director and Assistant Chief Operating Officer of National University Cancer Institute, Singapore (NCIS) to plan and implement NCIS redevelopment projects that serve towards capacity building and clinical service planning, across the NUHS cluster.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Support the procurement of consultancy and construction packages for the implementation of NCIS redevelopment projects in accordance with NUHS standards.
- Review and approve project schedules, method statements, material submission and permit to work during construction stage
- Develop project governance policies and processes to deliver NCIS redevelopment projects at NUH, Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and Tengah General & Community Hospital
- Oversee and manage consultants and contractors in the delivery of their services in accordance with their contract terms
Stakeholder Management
- Develop communication plans for timely engagement and involvement of stakeholders
- Effectively communicate updates, milestones, and potential challenges to stakeholders
- Collaborate with leadership to align innovation initiatives with overall organizational goals and strategies
- Engage stakeholders to carry out feasibility studies for renovation projects
Budgeting
- Collaborating with stakeholders to develop a budget which aligns with the project objectives
Other Related Tasks and Duties
- Any other duties or tasks assigned by RO
Key Requirements
- Degree in Architecture, Building, Engineering, Project Management or equivalent
- At least 5 years of relevant experience with proven track record in public sector or healthcare infrastructure projects
- High level of technical competency
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Required proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and SketchUp will be added bonus
- Team player and able to collaborate with stakeholders of various functions
- Ability to multi-task.
