This position has a strong focus on Campus Redevelopment, for which planning has started and the new buildings will be completed in about 3 years’ time. Job Responsibilities

 

Planning and Development

  • Support planning and procurement of Equipment, and furniture
  • Facilitate user workgroups by organising regular meeting sessions, guiding user departments, as well as reviewing performance indicators and work plans
  • Assist in budgetary planning and control, ensuring that the development keeps within budget
  • Work closely with user department and various stakeholders in the preparation of equipment and furniture specifications for tenders
  • Provide recommendation to users based on technical compliance of medical, non-medical equipment and furniture in tender submissions
  • Support tender committees in their evaluation of equipment and services for procurement
  • Support the rest of the campus planning team where required
  • Be the bridge between user departments and consultants, so that detailed information, including hospital operations workflows, interdependencies, additional requests and ideas, are documented, transferred and communicated between and with all parties in a timely manner, and captured for holistic design, development and subsequent procurement planning
  • Keep abreast of healthcare planning topics and issues, so as to lead the hospital development in the desired direction

 

 

Requirements

  • Degree in any discipline
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably with project management and procurement experience
  • Candidates with healthcare background highly preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and strategic planning capabilities
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Pleasant disposition, approachable and good interpersonal skills
  • Good listening ability, and a positive attitude
  • Stakeholder management and relationship building skills
  • Strong team-player, with natural ability to interact with all levels of staff
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills
  • Meticulous, organised, logical and analytical, able to fit different pieces of the puzzle together
  • Independent worker, with strong initiative for planning and doing, and able to work on several things at once
  • Have a natural affinity for technology, and its enabling capabilities
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, unchartered territory, enjoy challenges and problem solving
