Assistant Manager, Organisational Development
(Tengah General and Community Hospital)
As Assistant Manager, you will support the organisational development (OD) efforts for TGCH from building phase to opening and sustaining long-term performance.
This role focuses on supporting the implementation and delivery of initiatives related to people, culture, and organisational effectiveness. You will work closely with stakeholders to strengthen leadership capability, enhance team effectiveness, and foster a cohesive, values-driven culture aligned with TGCH’s purpose.
The role requires strong coordination, stakeholder engagement, and execution capabilities to ensure OD initiatives are effectively delivered and aligned with organisational priorities.
Job Description:
Organisational Development (OD) – Planning & Support
- Support the development and implementation of OD plans and initiatives in alignment with TGCH’s strategic priorities, purpose, and values.
- Assist in engaging stakeholders to support alignment of organisational goals, strategies, and team-level priorities.
- Coordinate activities that reinforce organisational culture, values, and purpose.
- Track and support reporting of OD initiatives and outcomes to enable continuous improvement.
Planning and Execution of OD Activities (Change Management Focus)
- Support the planning and coordination of OD workplans, including annual and quarterly activities.
- Assist in the implementation of OD interventions (e.g. workshops, engagement sessions, diagnostics), working with internal stakeholders and external vendors where required.
Coordinate programme logistics, timelines, and follow-ups to ensure smooth delivery. - Support change management activities, including:
- Preparing communication materials and stakeholder updates.
- Coordinating training and engagement sessions.
- Supporting development of toolkits and resources.
- Monitoring implementation progress and follow-through.
- Assist in developing learning materials and interventions to enhance organisational and team effectiveness.
Staff Engagement and Culture Building
- Support the planning and delivery of staff engagement activities and employer branding in collaboration with HR and Communications (e.g. onboarding, engagement events, roadshows).
- Coordinate logistics and stakeholder engagement for leadership touchpoints and team-building initiatives.
- Liaise with external partners (e.g. vendors, community organisations) to support OD-related events and initiatives.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant working experience in service/healthcare industry. Experience in organisation wide transformation or change management will be a strong advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic work environment, quick thinker and an effective problem solver.
- Ability to prioritise workload, be well organised and multi-task in a smart and timely fashion.
- Possess strong analytical, communication, written and presentation skills.
- Team-oriented with a high degree of initiative and independence.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relations with different stakeholders.
- Proactive attitude and determination to ensure required outcomes are achieved and takes responsibility.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
This position will be offered on a one-year contractual basis, with the possibility of conversion to a regular contract subject to performance and organisational needs.
