Assistant Manager, Research Office (2 years contract)
As part of the Partnerships & Innovation Office (PIO) the position holder will be playing a key role in advancing National University Health System (NUHS) mission of improving lives through clinical care, research innovation and strategic collaboration. He/She will serve as a strategic liaison between NUHS and national innovation funding agencies while driving the translation of research and clinical innovations into viable commercial opportunities. This role combines stakeholder management, program coordination, and market intelligence to advance NUHS's innovation translation initiatives in the MedTech sector.
Job Responsibilities
- To maintain strategic relationships with funding agencies and ensure compliance with all reporting and milestone requirements;
- To coordinate a programme involving end-to-end innovation translation from ideation to preparing for commercial partnerships and investment readiness;
- To conduct comprehensive MedTech market analysis and provide strategic intelligence to guide innovation prioritization and investment decisions;
- To design processes and establish strategic partnerships to enhance NUHS's commercialization capabilities and ecosystem connections.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field
- Master's degree (MBA or relevant field)
- 3-6 years of experience in healthcare or MedTech related innovation programme management or technology transfer
- Proven track record working with funding agencies and grant management
- Experience in healthcare/MedTech commercialization or related sectors
- Background in market research and competitive analysis
- Exceptional ability to manage relationships with diverse stakeholders including government agencies, researchers, and industry partners
- Project/ Programme Coordination: Strong organizational skills with experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs
- Market Analysis: Proficiency in market research methodologies, data analysis, and business intelligence tools
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate research innovations into commercially viable opportunities
- Proficiency in programme management tools and methodologies
- Experience with market research platforms and databases
- Knowledge of intellectual property and technology transfer processes
- Familiarity with healthcare research, innovation and regulatory environments
- Data analysis and visualization capabilities
- Proficient in IT Systems and M.S Office applications
