Assistant Manager/Senior Executive, Medical Affairs Office
The incumbent will hold broad responsibilities as part of the Medical Affairs team within Tengah General and Community Hospital (TGCH) to develop and execute the hospital’s approach to patient safety, clinical quality, value-based and unified care approach. The position is also required to develop, implement and maintain clinical standards, ensure hospital-wide compliance with all relevant healthcare laws and regulations and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities
- Support Chairman Medical Board to develop and implement hospital-wide clinical governance structure. Key support includes development, implementation and maintenance of hospital-wide policies and procedures to ensure alignment with current clinical standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assist and support to ensure hospital-wide compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
- Assist the preparation and execution of inspections and accreditation surveys based on the relevant regulations and standards.
- Assist and support the collaboration with department heads/clinical leads to establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for clinical standards and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with respective stakeholders to draft and institute cross-institution collaboration agreements.
- Keep abreast of emerging health trends and care innovations, developments on NUHS care plan, as well as national strategies and direction to identify opportunities, potential gaps and areas to be strengthened where appropriate.
- Collaborate with Value Driven Office to catalyse the development and institution of integrated practice units.
- Actively sync and drive potential collaboration between clinical departments, with other NUHS institutions, and community and social partners to enhance patient experiences and enable value-based care delivery.
- Support development and roll out of TGCH unified care approach including thematic clustering and catalysing the formation and development of all-encompassing integrated practice units providing comprehensive end-to-end care experiences.
- Organise and coordinate relevant meetings and discussion sessions, including booking of venue, meeting set up and related administrative matters.
- Provide secretariat support including agenda collation, presentations, note taking, tracking and follow up on matters arising.
Requirements
- Degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field is preferred
- At least 3 years of relevant working experience, with at least 1 year of prior healthcare sector experience
- Prior working experience in, regulation/governance, audit/inspections, quality management and/or hospital operations is an advantage
- Prior experience in compliance, secretariat and project management fields will be advantageous
- Confident with data analysis and interpretation
- Competent analytical, organizational and communication skills with good command of English
- Excellent interpersonal skills with confidence to resonate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders; to facilitate discussions and achieve meeting agenda.
