Dental Assistant / Dental Surgery Assistant (Dental Clinical Photographer)*

1.    Job Purpose

A Dental Clinical Photographer is responsible for the acquisition, processing and archiving of patients’ 2D and 3D dental and facial images and scans, as referred by clinicians.

2.    Duties and Responsibilities

2.1 Primary Responsibilities and Duties (80%)

2.1.1 To be able to operate a DSLR camera setup for acquisition of dental clinical photographs

2.1.2 To be able to operate a 3D facial scanner for acquisition of 3D facial images

2.1.3 To be able to appropriately edit and process acquired dental and facial images of patients

2.1.4 To be able archive processed images according to existing NUCOHS data management workflows

2.1.5 To perform image and scan retrieval following approved requests from clinicians in standardized exported formats

2.1.6 To maintain the Dentofacial Imaging Unit including proper storage of the equipment and armamentarium

2.1.7 To perform basic equipment/software maintenance and update as required

2.2 Secondary Responsibilities and Duties (20%)

2.2.1 To perform any other duties related to dental imaging workflows as directed by the Dental Imaging Unit Lead

3.    Job Specification/Requirements

3.1         Qualification:

3.1.1      Minimum GCE ‘N’/‘O’ level education needed.

3.2         Experience:

3.2.1      Basic photography or image processing skills needed.
