Objectives

  • Support the Group Director in improving the clinical engagement and adoption of health technologies across various departments in but not limited to NUH, NUHS and including the National University HealthTech Accelerator (NUHTA) program.
  • Balance commercial viability with strategic considerations and work closely with the Group Director and CITD team as well as senior leaders across NUHS by providing strategy and due diligence support with the aim of commercialising impactful and viable health technologies developed by NUHS and externally.
  • Support the NUHS HealthTech venture building ecosystem and guide portfolio companies to grow value and achieve higher returns on investment. Advise portfolio/cohort companies on strategy implementation, management selection and business development

Key Responsibilities

  • Work towards improving the clinical engagement and adoption of health technologies in the clinical, financial, operational and administrative domains by streamlining processes and leveraging current groups and initiatives across NUHS.
  • Provide oversight to identify and originate local investment opportunities to achieve investment mandates, including conducting and leading due diligence efforts. 
  • Play the role of a HealthTech venture builder by supporting the journey from conceptualisation through to successful and sustainable commercialisation of NUHS-born as well as Singapore-born ideas and startups.
  • Remain a practicing clinician half a day per week [TO BE DETERMINED]

Job Requirements

  • Hold Singapore Medical Council registration. Ful registration will be viewed favourably.
  • Able to demonstrate teamwork, respect, integrity, compassion, empathy and excellence in his/her work.
  • At least 10 years of HealthTech innovation business experience in the startup, government and VC domains.
  • Excellent relationship management capabilities, communication and presentation skills.
  • Team player with strong abilities to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to demonstrate good diagnostic and clinical management acumen.
