1            Job Purpose

The Executive (Informatics) will assist the Informatics Lead in the planning, coordination and management of IT and automation related projects in NUHS Pharmacy. This will include ongoing maintenance, problem resolution of pharmacy computer and automation systems and other systems that have direct/indirect linkage with pharmacy systems. His / Her role includes liaising with other departments within NUHS Pharmacy, CIO office, Synapxe, NUP Polyclinics and other stakeholders to ensure harmonisation of IT projects and efficient, patient-centred business processes.

 

2            Duties and Responsibilities

 

Project management

2.1        Assist in the planning, testing, implementation and documentation of IT related projects in NUHS Pharmacy to ensure timely delivery of project deliverables.

2.2        Assist in the liaison between users, CIO office, Synapxe personnels and vendors to ensure that requirements are in tandem with organisation’s goals and objectives.

 

Health Information Management

2.3        Maintain and ensure accurate database in IT systems to support pharmacy operations.

2.4        Responsible to perform and assess systems testing in accordance with business operations workflow process.

2.5        Generate scheduled data reports and ad-hoc data requests from management and department users.

2.6        Help develop pharmacy data reports and dashboards in collaboration with respective department users.

 

End user support

2.7        Provide end-user support including evaluating user problems, troubleshoot, prioritize needs for respective system application personnels/vendors to resolve.

2.8        Preparing learning resources and conduct training sessions to ensure competency in the use of pharmacy systems.

2.9        Provide support and coordinate with relevant IT teams in IT-related component for the department’s asset management and activities.

2.10     Work together with relevant stakeholders in process improvement activities and maximize the utilization of the pharmacy systems.

 

General

2.11     Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor and supervisor’s RO.

 

3            Job Specifications / Requirements

3.1        Minimum Diploma and above qualifications with keen interest in IT and automation

3.2        Relevant IT-related experience in healthcare setting will be advantageous

3.3        Proficient in advanced Excel features (e.g. macros, power query)

3.4        Proficient in data extraction and mining capabilities (e.g. SQL)

3.5        Able to work independently with good communication and interpersonal skills

3.6        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

3.7        Positive work attitude and resilient to setbacks

3.8        Involve in system deployments, including during off-peak hours, to minimize operational disruption
