About the role
We are seeking a proactive and organised individual to join our Volunteer Management team. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to community health initiatives by supporting volunteer recruitment, volunteer engagement, training and the Health Peers programme.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, volunteers and community partners to strengthen volunteer development efforts and support the delivery of meaningful programmes that improve community health outcomes.
Responsibilities
Staff Volunteer Recruitment
- Support volunteer recruitment effort through the refresh and update of volunteer marketing collaterals.
- Identify and coordinate suitable events for volunteer recruitment booths.
- Coordinate support focus group discussions and engagement sessions with volunteer leaders to gather feedback for the development of volunteer leadership initiatives and frameworks.
Volunteer Orientation & Training
- Review and update volunteer e-learning and training materials.
- Support the facilitation and operations of in-person volunteer orientation sessions.
Volunteer Retention & Engagement
- Plan and organise volunteer networking dinners
- Support the planning and operations for annual Volunteer Appreciation Event.
Health Peers Programme
- Support the onboarding and deployment of newly trained Health Peers.
- Coordinate volunteer schedules and resident engagement sessions.
- Conduct consent-taking and administrative support for residents participating in the Health Peers programme.
Requirements
- Degree in any discipline.
- Prior experience in volunteer management, community engagement, events management, training coordination or healthcare-related programmes will be an advantage.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
