The incumbent will support the Nursing Division in the strategic development, implementation, and management of nursing innovation initiatives across the organisation.  
 
He/she is responsible for driving innovation, operationalising transformation strategies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and promoting the adoption of evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes, workforce effectiveness, and operational excellence. 

Working closely with nursing leaders, interdisciplinary teams, and external partners, he/she identifies opportunities for innovation, facilitates the translation of ideas into sustainable solutions, and supports the evaluation and scaling of successful initiatives. He/she also contributes to capability building in innovation, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice within the nursing workforce. 

 
The Opportunity: 
We are looking for a Manager to support Nursing (Innovation) division.  
 
Job Responsibilities: 

Primary Responsibilities and Duties (80%) 

  • Lead and coordinate nursing innovation and workforce transformation initiatives from ideation through implementation, evaluation, and scaling to enhance patient care, operational excellence, and long-term sustainability. 

  • Champion the application of Lean principles and methodologies within the Nursing Division, guiding teams in driving innovation, quality improvement, and process enhancement initiatives.  

  • Review existing practices and identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement through stakeholder engagement, data analysis, frontline feedback, and Lean "Go & See" practices.  

  • Facilitate and lead change management efforts to support the successful adoption and sustainability of innovation and transformation initiatives.  

  • Promote the scaling and sustainability of successful projects while supporting organisation-wide transformation efforts. Serve as a subject matter expert and resource person in Lean, project management, and nursing innovation methodologies.  

  • Foster the dissemination, sharing, and adoption of innovative practices and improvement initiatives across the Nursing Division.  

  • Monitor, evaluate, and report the progress, outcomes, and impact of innovation initiatives to the Chief Nurse and Nursing Executive Council (NEC).  

  • Prepare, analyse, and review reports, highlighting key insights and providing data-driven recommendations to support informed decision-making.  

  • Provide secretariat support for innovation-related committees and meetings, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and documentation management.  

  • Coordinate and manage nominations for innovation awards, recognition programmes, and professional development opportunities.  

  • Track project work plans, deliverables, and milestones to ensure timely implementation and completion of initiatives.  

  • Follow up on innovation-related feedback, suggestions, and action items to ensure timely resolution and continuous improvement.  

  • Maintain accurate records of innovation initiatives and ensure effective communication, knowledge sharing, and documentation through SharePoint and other designated platforms. 

 

Secondary Responsibilities and Duties (20%) 

  • Involves in department events and activities planning. 

  • Works collaboratively with relevant departments, workgroups and committees on special projects, proposing options where possible and ensuring achievement of desired outcomes.  

  • Work with Nurse Leaders to gather and analyse feedback from patients, staff and stakeholders to identify opportunities for improving care delivery, services and processes.  

  • Lead new service/delivery projects and working with relevant stakeholders on resource and logistics requirements. 

  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned to meet evolving organisational needs. 

 

Job Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification.  

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant administrative experience, with a proven track record in facilitating and driving process improvement initiatives, change management, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver value and impact.  

  • Training or certification in Quality Improvement (QI) methodologies and tools such as Lean, 6S, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks would be advantageous.  

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and data analysis tools.  

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with experience in building and leading high-performing, cohesive teams.  

  • Confident in engaging and partnering with senior stakeholders, with a strong passion for driving organisational change and continuous improvement.  

  • Able to manage multiple priorities effectively, influence stakeholders, and perform well in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.  

  • Possesses strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
