Nurse Clinician II
The job holder is responsible for developing and maintaining an effective, system-wide infection control
program in the Polyclinics and dental clinics. He/she provides education to healthcare staff on infection control
protocols and policies and develops strategies for patient education on prevailing infectious disease issues.
He/she serves as a resource person and provides advice on infection control practices. He/she monitors
patterns, prevalence and trends, conducts surveillance and evaluates data in infection control practices to
initiate appropriate control measures. He/she supports teamwork essential for compliance with accrediting and
regulatory standards through surveillance, effective prevention and control activities specific to primary care
setting.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- At least 9-11 years of clinical nursing experience out of which 2 years be in an infection control setting.
- Familiar with the use of epidemiological principles and procedures related to infection prevention and control.
- Proactve, motivated and resulted oriented.
- A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Effective leadership qualities.
- Result orientated with good time management.
