The Senior Assistant Manager, Business Planning supports the planning, development, and execution of strategic initiatives for NUHS Diagnostics. The role partners service leads and stakeholders to enable business growth of NUHS Diagnostics to support primary healthcare entities (polyclinics, nursing homes, and GPs).

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of strategic business planning initiatives to drive growth of NUHS Diagnostics services.
  • Participate in public and private business tenders, working with finance and service leads to draft business proposal, costing and optimal service delivery.
  • Working closely with the leads of Diagnostics services, establish, implement and maintain appropriate policies, procedures and internal control for all specific activities within the business unit.
  • Monitor business, operational and financial performance, and recommend improvement actions.
  • Lead or participate in projects and initiatives assigned by management.
  • Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships to support business objectives and operational excellence.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (e.g. Business Administration, Communications).
  • Prior experience in the healthcare industry would be an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey key messages effectively to different stakeholder groups through both written and verbal channels.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
  • Good analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to identify issues, analyse variances, and recommend solutions.
  • Ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders across different levels and functions.
  • Strategic thinker with strong project leadership, operations management, and execution capabilities.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); knowledge of MS Project, Access, Power BI, or Tableau is an advantage.
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience. Experience leading projects and working across functions to drive outcomes and stakeholder alignment
