About Department and Purpose of the Position

Join the Ops & Admin team in NUH’s Department of Surgery & Urology and help shape how one of Singapore’s leading surgical disciplines is seen, understood, and trusted.

 

You will partner closely with clinicians, nurses, administrators, and NUH/NUHS Communications to translate complex clinical work into clear, compelling stories—across campaigns, events, media, digital channels, and public outreach. From shaping key messages and crafting content, to managing stakeholders, vendors, and timelines, you will bring ideas from concept to delivery with strong attention to quality and brand standards. This is a hands-on role with real visibility: you will elevate flagship programmes, spotlight innovations and outcomes, and strengthen our local and international profile—so patients, partners, and the community know what we stand for. Key Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities and Duties (80%)

 

Marketing& Communications

  • Plan, develop, and execute integrated marketing and communications strategies to profile the Department of Surgery & Urology across multiple platforms (internal channels, social media, media, collaterals, website).
  • Develop clear, engaging, and wellwritten content for publicity materials, presentations, articles, and outreach initiatives.
  • Work closely with NUH / NUHS Communications teams on internal and external communications, including content development, production, media coordination, and monitoring.

 

Events & Digital Presence

  • Organise and support departmental events, programmes, and engagements, including clinical, education, and outreachrelated activities.
  • Manage and update corporate content for the department’s website and social media platforms, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and brand consistency.

 

Public Education & Outreach

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and partner with external institutions, societies, and organisations to conceptualise and deliver public education and outreach programmes.
  • Support initiatives that raise awareness of surgical and urology services, innovations, and patientcentred care.

 

Secondary Responsibilities and Duties (20%)

  • Provide operational and administrative support as required by the Reporting Officer which may be non marcom work.

 

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Mass Communications, Marketing, Business Management, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in marketing communications, events, or related roles (Healthcare experience is an advantage but not mandatory).

  • Strong writing and content development skills across different communication platforms.

  • Creative, meticulous, and organised, with good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and other creative/media tools is preferred.
