Overview

As part of the Innovation Transfer Office (ITO) this position plays a key role in advancing National University Health System (NUHS) mission of improving lives through clinical care, research innovation and strategic collaboration. He/She will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating and executing a wide range of research-related contracts (eg CTAs, RCAs, MTAs etc) to enable and support high-quality clinical research and innovation partnerships while safeguarding NUHS’ interests. This is a contract role with the possibility of renewal.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  1. To ensure timely execution of contracts to support research or clinical projects in compliance with institutional policy and national guidelines; 
  2. To liaise with internal stakeholders (eg legal, compliance) to align on terms and regulatory requirements;
  3. To contribute to streamlining of contract workflow, templates for better turnaround time;
  4. To resolve and manage escalated issues with fairness and tact without jeopardizing institutional policies;
  5. To ensure appropriate risk assessment and mitigation strategies;
  6. To guide and mentor junior executives and managers for more effective solutions in contract negotiations

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Law, Business, Life Sciences or related field. 
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience in drafting and review research-related agreements preferably within a healthcare, pharmaceutical/CRO, academic or research setting.
  • IP knowledge will be an added advantage.
  • Good understanding of local regulations and legal frameworks.
