Overview

You are required to assist the Manager to direct, supervise, and participate in execution of the various tasks that contribute to managing the operations of Food Service Team. You are required to direct Operations Supervisors, Team Leaders and Ground Staff on a shift wise basis to ensure the meals orders are prepared and delivered to the Patient seamlessly in a safe and timely manner.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and mobilise staff for daily operation.
  • Ensure F&B Assistant generate daily meals summaries and patient menu chit from
    EMOS.
  • Ensure dishing and tray assembly of food activities are carry out by F&B Assistant in
    accordance with the SOPs.
  • Ensure events catering are delivered in accordance with the instruction given by event
    organisers.
  • Ensures all staffs adhere strictly to SOPs and local regulatory requirements (MUIS,
    ISO22000, MOH, WSH)
  • Ensure F&B Assistants monitors the chillers & freezers temperature twice daily. To alert
    FM if any of temperature of chillers & freezers fall out of range. Activate BCP when
    necessary.
  • Ensure adequate training for all F&B assistants
  • Conducts random checks and approves all F&B staff timesheets monthly.
  • Assist the Manager on the day-to-day food service operations that may include dishing
    and assembly of meals in the kitchen.
  • Submit monthly Food Service report that is required by the management.
  • Monitor, implement and assess vendor contracts engaged by department to ensure
    proper approval documentation, billing and records are obtained.
  • Ensure proper documentation and records are maintained.
  • To follow all instructions given by Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree Holder of discipline related to Food & Beverage Management / Hospitality/
    Nutrition.
  • Proficient in spoken English. Fluency in a second language will be an advantage.
  • Basic Food Hygiene certified.
  • Ability to understand and identify raw material (food) will be added advantage.
  • Proven ability to work efficiently and independently.
  • Good knowledge in Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge in Electronic Meal Ordering System will be added advantage.
  • More than 5 years in supervisory or managerial role, preferably in hospital, upscale
    hotel, restaurant, or high-volume food service facility.
  • Experience in event/functions will be an advantage.
