Senior Executive, Learning & Development, Tengah General and Community Hospital - 1-year contract
The role supports the planning, coordination and implementation of learning and development initiatives to build workforce readiness and capability development for Tengah General and Community Hospital. The contract staff will provide operational continuity during maternity cover and ensure that key L&D, sponsorship, leadership development and HR project deliverables continue to progress smoothly.
Job Responsibilities
Learning Needs Analysis & Capability Building
- Support follow-up from Learning Needs Analysis discussions and surveys.
- Assist in consolidating learning gaps, proposed interventions and implementation progress.
- Coordinate learning interventions aligned to staff readiness and hospital ramp-up needs.
- Prepare briefing materials, summaries and simple reports for stakeholders.
Learning & Development Operations
- Coordinate learning programmes, workshops and staff development initiatives.
- Manage course nominations, registrations, attendance records and payment.
- Maintain learning trackers, dashboards and monthly reporting.
- Liaise with departments, training providers and NUHS stakeholders on programme administration.
- Monitor and maintain learning budget utilisation records, including tracking expenses, committed amounts and available balances for staff development programmes and learning initiatives.
- Assist in preparing budget updates, payment tracking and simple reports to support management reporting and planning.
Corporate Orientation / Onboarding Support
- Coordinate end-to-end corporate orientation arrangements for new hires, including orientation scheduling, nominations, registration, liaison with stakeholders for welcome addresses, preparation of welcome emails and refreshments, attendance tracking and completion follow-up.
- Liaise with HRBP and Reporting Officers to ensure new hires are scheduled for corporate orientation programmes.
- Maintain orientation records to support staff readiness tracking.
- Assist in preparing orientation-related communications, briefing materials and reminders for new hires and reporting officers.
- Facilitate corporate orientation sessions for new hires by delivering assigned segments, coordinating the session flow, engaging participants and ensuring that key onboarding messages are communicated clearly.
- Support the review and continuous improvement of the corporate orientation framework and content, including gathering feedback, updating orientation materials and ensuring alignment with TGCH’s onboarding objectives and staff readiness needs.
Scholarship / Sponsorship Administration
- Support administration of sponsorship and scholarship programmes.
- Coordinate application processing, interview scheduling and panel secretariat support.
- Maintain sponsorship records, bond tracking and application status updates.
- Support outreach or communication materials for sponsorship promotion.
Leadership Development
- Coordinate leadership programme nominations and learning pathways.
- Track staff participation and completion for programmes such as leadership development series.
- Support implementation of managerial, supervisory and organisational development initiatives.
- Assist in preparing updates for leadership development.
Others
- Support implementation of HR projects or activities when required.
- Any other ad-hoc projects when assigned.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Human Resource Management, Business, Psychology, Education or related discipline.
- At least 2 years of experience in HR, Learning & Development or Programme Coordination.
- Healthcare, public sector or large organisation experience would be advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Organised, detail-oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic work environment, quick thinker and an effective problem solver.
- Ability to prioritise workload, be well organised and multi-task in a smart and timely fashion.
- Possess strong analytical, communication, written and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relations with different stakeholders
