About Department and Purpose of the Position

Reporting to the Senior Manager of the NUH Access and Audit Governance Section, the role supports the management of NUH system access, systems support, audit activities, and the development and implementation of policies and procedures relating to information governance and technology risk management practices across the organisation.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Compliance 
    • Work with relevant stakeholders to establish practical and effective data governance and compliance processes
    • Assist in advising internal management on implementation plans for new data governance and compliance processes.
    • Support the implementation of new policies and procedures through engagement with relevant stakeholders.
    • Provide guidance to NUH staff on data and research compliance-related queries.
    • Evaluate NUH research and non-research requests to ensure they are processed in accordance with NUHS policies.

 

  • User Access Governance
    • Assist in establishing and reviewing IT procedures to ensure appropriate controls are in place and aligned with the IT governance framework.
    • Support the implementation of new user access policies and procedures through engagement with relevant stakeholders.
    • Facilitate periodic reviews of the organisation-wide System Role-Based Access Matrix.
    • Support the resolution of ID requests relating to clinical applications and research projects.

 

  • IT Audit Management
    • Assist in developing a risk-based IT audit workplan and defining the scope of review in consultation with the Institution Chief Medical Informatics Officer (CMIO).
    • Work with key stakeholders to ensure audit activities adequately address key organisational risks and are completed within the required timelines.
    • Work with key stakeholders to monitor and follow up on management action plans for identified control issues in a timely manner.
    • Coordinate with the CIO Office to prepare and provide IT audit artefacts and supporting documentation requested by auditors.
    • Assist in delivering ad hoc projects, including but not limited to investigations, policy and procedure reviews, and training initiatives.

 

  • IT Systems Support
    • Engage relevant stakeholders to support troubleshooting, feedback management, and requirements gathering.
    • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to support timely resolution of system issues and service requests.
    • Assist in monitoring system-related issues, tracking follow-up actions, and escalating matters where required.
    • Support user acceptance testing, system enhancement reviews, and validation of system changes where applicable.
    • Maintain relevant documentation, user guides, and support records to facilitate effective system support and knowledge sharing.
    • Provide IT systems support, including after-office hours and weekend support when required.

 

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a recognised institution
  • At least 1 to 2 years of relevan working experience; fresh graduates are welcome to apply
  • Prior experience in IT management, healthcare, buinsess analysis, audit, or compliance will be an advantage
  • Basic knowledge of IT governance, risk and compliance, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and tracking purposes
  • Meticulous and analytical, with good logical thinking and process flow skills
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently, manage timelines, and collaborate effectively as a team player
  • Willing to provide after-office hours and weekend support when required
