Overview

 As a Senior Manager in Cloud Operations, you will lead the strategic and operational management of enterprise cloud platforms supporting NUHS’ digital, data and AI initiatives. You will drive platform reliability, security and scalability across hybrid cloud environments, while enabling AI/ML, data streaming and mission-critical healthcare use cases.

 

Job Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Lead enterprise cloud operations across Synapxe-managed and NUHS-managed environments, including operating model, SLAs and service management processes.
  • Provide governance for Kubernetes, container platforms and platform engineering practices at enterprise scale.
  • Lead major incident, problem and service management for critical outages, including RCA and service improvement plans.
  • Ensure operational readiness and reliability of cloud, data streaming and AI/ML platforms.
  • Maintain security, compliance and audit readiness in line with MOH/Synapxe policies, data governance and PDPA requirements.
  • Manage stakeholders and vendors across Synapxe platform teams, NUHS business and clinical stakeholders, external vendors and system integrators.

 

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems or a related discipline.
  • 8–12+ years of IT experience, including 3–5+ years in a leadership or management role.
  • Experience managing production platforms at enterprise scale, preferably in healthcare, government or regulated environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, cloud platforms preferably AWS and hybrid cloud, Linux and enterprise systems.
  • Experience with Kafka or streaming platforms, CI/CD, DevOps tooling, Infrastructure-as-Code, observability and monitoring tools.
  • Experience in incident and problem management, 24/7 production support and ITIL or similar service management frameworks.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks, compliance requirements, audit processes and documentation standards.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, decision-making, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Certifications in AWS/cloud architecture, Kubernetes or ITIL/service management are preferred.
