Purpose of Role

To own and lead the clinical-operations workflow integration, adoption, and scaling of AI use cases across NUHS institutions. This role ensures that AI initiatives transition successfully from proof-of-concept to sustained operational value by driving workflow redesign, process integration, benefit realisation, and frontline adoption at scale, while contributing to NUHS-wide AI adoption standards and operating models.

Job Responsibilities 

Workflow Integration & Change

  • Lead and own engagement with clinical, nursing, operations, and allied health teams to map current-state versus future-state workflows for AI-enabled processes.
  • Drive and govern workflow redesign required to integrate AI tools into clinical and operational pathways, address clinical, operational, and technology considerations.
  • Partner closely with project technical leads and the Group Chief Technology Officer (GCTO) office on technology development to ensure fit-for-purpose integration into Epic and downstream systems, aligned with enterprise architecture standards.

Adoption, Implementation & Scaling

  • Own a defined portfolio of AI adoption initiatives across NUHS institutions, overseeing sequencing from pilot to scaled rollout.
  • Lead use case pilots, user onboarding, and structured adoption cycles, ensuring readiness for institutional scale.
  • Develop, standardise, and continuously refine implementation playbooks and institutional rollout guides to enable repeatable adoption.
  • Coordinate with Healthcare Workforce of the Future initiative and Regional Health Manger Implementation Office to embed AI capabilities into workforce planning, care models, and Care Plan efforts where relevant.

Benefits Realisation & KPIs

  • Lead benefit case development and validation across clinical efficiency, safety, throughput, and staff time saved.
  • Define adoption and usage metrics and oversee tracking, analytics, and operational outcomes across the AI adoption portfolio.
  • Own reporting inputs to Programme Management Office (PMO) for AI portfolio oversight, KPI reporting, and project reviews.

Stakeholder Management & Governance

  • Act as an integration lead coordinating across clinical leaders, project owners, IT teams, innovation offices, and PMO to ensure alignment and delivery.
  • Provide structured updates to the AI Governance Forums and IT Funding  forums, including risks, dependencies, budget status and decision points.
  • Serve as a partner to senior clinical, digital and operational leaders, supporting change management and adoption at the frontline.
  • Embody and foster a culture of collaboration across clinical, IT, digital, operations, transformation, innovation offices, and PMO.

Adoption Capability Building

  • Provide functional coaching and mentorship to project managers supporting AI adoption and ops-tech integration efforts.
  • Contribute to the development of NUHS AI adoption capabilities, including standards, templates, and operating rhythms that support system-wide scaling.
  • Develop and deliver AI literacy training related to the AI and Analytics technologies within their portfolio.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in healthcare, business, informatics, operations, or related field.
  • Have 6 to 10 years of experience in healthcare operations, transformation, digital health, or service redesign, including leadership of complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience driving change, transformation and technology adoption across healthcare settings.
  • Strong analytical, process-mapping, and benefits-realisation skills.
  • Comfortable engaging and influencing clinicians, nurses, and senior operational leaders.
  • Experience in project, programme, or portfolio leadership preferred.
  • Comfortable with working in a team within a matrix organization and able to work respectfully with individuals and groups from different cultures
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Team player who can work independently in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
  • Positive work attitude, proactive, flexible and adaptable.
