About Department and Purpose of the Position

You will be managing research activities in the Department of Haematology-Oncology, NCIS, NUH. The department is highly involved with translational and clinical research, and has close links with the pharmaceutical industry, research institutes and grant funding bodies.


The position plays a pivotal role in the daily operations of managing billing compliance for sponsored research studies at Haematology-Oncology Research Group (HORG), NCIS. Working in close collaboration with study sponsors, clinical research coordinators, this team member will be responsible for conducting comprehensive financial reviews.


Managing a portfolio of studies, the position will provide crucial support to principal investigators, clinical research coordinators by ensuring adherence to billing regulations and overseeing financial aspects related to the studies.

 

Key Responsibilities

Primary Responsibiilities

  • Interpreting study protocols and contracts
  • Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintaining detailed documentation
  • Contributing to the development of billing compliance policies and procedures
  • Collaborating with diverse teams to uphold the financial integrity of research studies

 

Other duties

  • Supporting audits
  • Providing training on billing compliance
  • Contributing to continuous process improvement
  • Rendering assistance to the planning and execution of annual NCAM conference
  • Assisting team in research procurements
  • Ad-hoc duties assigned by supervisor  

 

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in science, biomedical or business-related field
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Keen interest in research administration
  • Keen understanding of billing regulations
  • Proactive, Organized, Meticulous and enjoy paying attention to details
  • Good team player
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with excellent work attitude
  • Self-discipline for hybrid work arrangement
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
