Overview

This position has a strong focus on Campus Redevelopment, for which planning has started and the new buildings will be completed in about 3 years’ time. Job Responsibilities

 

Planning and Development

  • Supporting and guiding the Hospital in all things infrastructural for the development. Translation of Clinical Services into infrastructure needs.
  • Plan, lead, organize and coordinate User Workgroup sessions. Preparation, coordination of materials to guide Workshops to be fruitful, useful and productive.
  • Work closely with Consultants, acting as the bridge between Consultants and Users to develop Design Options together to arrive at Design Solutions.
  • Ensure that all parties are cognizant of time and keep to deadlines.
  • Review Design Proposals from the Consultants to ensure design, operational and technical aspects are duly captured and addressed, and acceptable solutions are within budget.
  • Correspond with the Users and obtain the signoffs required before the space is built.
  • Verifying that the space is built as per User sign-off plans prior to taking over of the space.
  • Work with Consultants and MOHH with regards to defects listing, and the proper and satisfactory rectification of defective works.
  • Be the bridge between user departments and consultants, so that detailed information, including hospital operations workflows, interdependencies, additional requests and ideas, are documented, transferred and communicated between and with all parties in a timely manner, and captured for holistic design, development and subsequent procurement planning.
  • Keep abreast of healthcare planning topics and issues, so as to lead the hospital development in the desired direction.
  • Support the rest of the campus planning team where required.

 

Requirements

  • Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related built environment discipline, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Candidates with healthcare background highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across diverse groups.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous environments, exercising sound judgment, and managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Adaptable, organized, and collaborative, with the ability to thrive in dynamic, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Pleasant disposition, approachable and good interpersonal skills.
  • Strong team-player, with natural ability to interact with all levels of staff.
  • Independent worker, with strong initiative for planning and doing, and able to work on several things at once
