Summary:

The role involves leading finance system initiatives as a subject matter expert on SAP S/4HANA, overseeing its implementation and optimization, championing change management, and fostering collaboration among stakeholders to align business needs with system solutions.

 

Key responsibilities:

  1. Finance System Leadership

-      Serve as the subject matter expert on SAP S/4HANA Finance and Materials Management (FIMM), guiding the design and adoption of best practices across NUHS

-      Drive the harmonisation of finance processes by leveraging SAP capabilities to drive consistency, compliance and efficiency

-      Provide strategic input on how finance systems can support broader organisational and operational goals

 

  1. System Implementation & Optimisation

-      Oversee the implementation and optimisation of SAP S/4HANA FIMM in partnership with GCIO, Synapxe, vendors and internal finance stakeholders

-      Ensure business scenarios, operational rules, and reporting requirements are accurately translated into system design and thoroughly validated during testing

-      Identify opportunities for system improvements, automation and enhanced analytics to support decision making

 

  1. Change Leadership & Capability Building

-      Champion the adoption of SAP S/4HANA across finance and operations, acting as the key advocate and knowledge leader

-      Drive change management activities, including communication strategies, end-user engagement and leadership updates

-      Oversee the design and delivery of training and capability-building programs for Finance teams

 

  1. Stakeholder & Team Management

-      Partner with senior finance leaders and cross-cluster stakeholders to align business needs with system solutions

-      Mediate and resolve differences across workgroups, ensuring smooth collaboration and successful project outcomes

-      Build strong relationships with internal teams, external vendors, and technology partners to ensure seamless delivery

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of finance or finance systems experience, with proven exposure to SAP S/4HANA FIMM functionalities
  • Minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
  • Hands-n experience in at least one SAP implementation, migration, or major enhancement project, with a strong appreciation of end-to-end finance processes
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large scale system initiatives and influence adoption across diverse stakeholders
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate at senior level
  • Proven track record of balancing strategic oversight with detailed process/system understanding
