You will be responsible for the following:
- screen for risk factors in the diabetic foot and determine the corresponding risk level
- recognise diabetic foot conditions and refer patients to the doctor/podiatrist for management
- deliver education on diabetic foot care to patients and/or caregivers
- provide clear documentation on the results of the diabetic foot screening
- adhere to legal, ethical, professional, departmental and organisational policies such as good infection control practices.
- take part in activities that promote awareness of Podiatry
Requirements
- Higher Nitec with GCE ‘N’ or ‘O’ Level Credits in English, Mathematics and Science
- WSQ Higher Certificate in Therapy Services will be an advantage
- 5.5 days workweek. Willing to travel to different polyclinics and work on Saturdays
- Service orientated with good listening and interpersonal skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English and another language (Chinese, Malay, or Tamil).
- Ability to lift reasonable loads
- Good time management
- Able to work well both independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
