Therapy Assistant (Podiatry- DFS)*

You will be responsible for the following:

  • screen for risk factors in the diabetic foot and determine the corresponding risk level
  • recognise diabetic foot conditions and refer patients to the doctor/podiatrist for management
  • deliver education on diabetic foot care to patients and/or caregivers
  • provide clear documentation on the results of the diabetic foot screening
  • adhere to legal, ethical, professional, departmental and organisational policies such as good infection control practices.
  • take part in activities that promote awareness of Podiatry

 

Requirements

  • Higher Nitec with GCE ‘N’ or ‘O’ Level Credits in English, Mathematics and Science
  • WSQ Higher Certificate in Therapy Services will be an advantage
  • 5.5 days workweek. Willing to travel to different polyclinics and work on Saturdays
  • Service orientated with good listening and interpersonal skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English and another language (Chinese, Malay, or Tamil). 
  • Ability to lift reasonable loads
  • Good time management
  • Able to work well both independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
